Beneath the marble-topped bar and seafood towers of Third Coast Provisions, a flight of red-lit stairs descends into something unexpected. The Loon Room opened in September 2024, transforming a former oyster bar into Milwaukee's most intimate cocktail lounge.
From the team behind Third Coast Provisions and Merriment Social, the goal was to build something that felt like a secret worth keeping. Part cocktail lounge, part Wisconsin tavern, all heart.
“A bird known for diving deep”
The name nods to the common loon, a bird known for diving deep. To visit, you just have to do the same.

A $3 Pabst sits comfortably next to a craft cocktail. That's the point. The Loon Room is sophisticated without being pretentious. Northwoods nostalgia with an urban edge. Perfect for first dates, nightcaps, or fondue with your favorite people.
